World's number one social media network Facebook released a new version of the "Profile Page" for the first time in more than two-and-a-half years. The new pages focus on connections with other users and pictures. Click inside to access the new layout.

FACEBOOK - 26-year-old Mark Zuckerberg revealed the new changes for the first time Sunday night on CBS' 60 Minutes. The "new" Facebook has now become more visual, with more photos displayed and visual icons of your interests.

The profile starts at the top with a summary of who you are, where you live, and where you work - information Mark Zuckerberg calls "conversation starters". The profile picture is a little bigger, and just under the user's name the last five photos taken of that person are displayed across the page.

There is also a new edition to the "Friends" section in the left column, which lets you choose which friends you'd like to be displayed on the profile page. When you click on a friend's name and visit their page, it shows what you two have in common. Mutual friends, events you both plan to attend, and photos you are both tagged in are included in this new addition.

"You can see all the things you have in common with that person, and it just gives you this amazing connection with that person, said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an interview on 60 Minutes, "In a way that the current version of the profile that we have today just doesn't do."

There seem to be no new privacy concerns, but the redesign does make it easier for users to find information about a person. Facebook claims the new profiles will be rolling out to all five hundred million users in the next couple months. You can access the new redesign here.
